Painting Basics Aug 6
Project 8

Now once you have made some wall material ,
apply it to a building of some type.
It doesn't have to be elaborate.
Just something simple to see how your wall material looks.

For those of you that don't feel ready to tackle the drawing of buildings
at this time you may want to checkout

Some additional ideas and tips from Acadie
with her completed painting below

OK here is what I did, First I did my painting as usual without any texture for using the dodge and burn tool to make my shadow and light show more, Then I used the texture with the transparency at zero and soft edge 50% and sometime higher .

These are the two textures I've made and did use on the painting, for the roof I did use one from PI paper 11 with different color to show more detail, for the walls first I did use the one here and also one of PI texture wood 0A01,
as for the sand did use this crackle one I've made to give the sand a dry look, and apply it heavily on the hill far away. For the clouds did use an other texture from PI
Paper 50, did always kept my transparency at zero but played with the soft edge.

Crackle ---------------------Wood
Why not try creating textures of your own for the walls and sharing them
as well as applying them to some type of structure?
