Painting Basics Project 3

This week Let's do the project a little different
(we will run this for 2 weeks)

WEEK ONE

This weeks featured tool will be the Bristle Brush .........it is such a versatile tool having 6 presets this is the only one we will add this week with the exception of changing the shape of the fine brush tool.........(and that will be in week 2)

We won't worry about realistic colors at this point (so don't need to use the multicolor function this week)(make everything in black) For this project we are only worried about shape. You can refer to my brush panel tut here for some of the available options.

And here is a screenshot of the Bristle Brush tut section of the Painting tool tuts.

There are many other options in PI for making trees, foilage, etc. but I want us to focus only on the Bristle Brush.......For this exercise it would be good to make sure you are painting in MODE (by clicking the MODE buttun prior to starting) That way if you produce some nice results with your various types of trees, grass etc. you can save as an object for later use in other projects where you need shapes.

For the first part of the project, lets see how many types of trees, foilage, grass etc. we can create and when we post them tell what we used (not necessarily the settings-because it will encourage us to experiment ) however if you changed brush angle, size of the bristle, size of the brush and want to share that is great. Don't forget your straight line option also works with this tool.(For a reasonably straight tree you can use the fine brush (straight line option for your main trunk and then freehand to make it not so perfect) prior to adding your leaves or needles etc.

Here are some ideas and examples and brushes used.

And here are just a few of the pepperdot settings.

Hope we see bunches of all types of greenery
