Painted Sunset Tutorial 2

Now lets work on the water a bit Paintbrush Ribbon Preset size about 60w h1 Trans 95 SoftEdge 70 a Color a little darker than the blue and adjust the color tab so you have a slight variation top slider 0 middle (saturation) 5 bottom (brightness) 10 advanced tab-your spacing should be about 40 % using a light touch drag your ribbon from right to left in a short jiggling motion back and forth gently Same tool and settings change color to a dark orange/brown ( I used 165/73/90) by a series of steady clicks and moving the brush ever so slightly with each click until you have something like picture above
Bristle Brush PresetGrass Size 30w 30h brush head size 1 trans 75 color same dark orange middle slider 30 top and bottom 0 drag from left to right across water until it appears to have a slight sheen as seen in this picture
I thought the sky looked a little pale so I went back to the charcoal brush Preset fog Color 66/81/156 Transparency about 80 other settings at default and darkened up the sky starting with the blue on the top and then a couple of passes over the rest of the sky........... then over the water a couple of passes pressing lightly
Now to lighten the yellow use Dodge tool level 40 soft edge 90 size 90w 24h just click once over entire yellow area change level to 25 and click gently over area above yellow similar to picture here

Still using the Dodge tool change level to 20 Size about 18 soft edge 70 and lightly click over water where it is not blue change to Paint brush preset ribbon color the darkest blue from the sky trans 90 soft edge 70 size 40w h1 gentle clicks dragging slightly from right to left over right , left and front of picture darkening the blue of the water
Particle brush Leaf preset Transparency 63 soft edge 100 Brush Panel settings shape 11w 19h brush angle 95 option wet control 47 advanced spacing 98 Go back over sky lightening I used Color 255/134/99 color sliders top and bottom 0 middle 20 go back over middle and lower sky(just above treeline) and lighten similar to pic 15
Burn level 20 soft edge 100 advanced tab spacing 143 size 20w 1h clicking lightly over entire water area then going over the same area Blur Level 1 Soft edge 100 advanced spacing 165 Dodge Level 18 Soft edge 100 size 90 24 advanced tab spacing 130 click lightly over entire picture
Make some leaves and branches or you can use mine (You can download the zip at the bottom of this page) Place in upper right hand corner then using the bristle brush Preset split 3 default, draw a small black area in the right lower corner and change to split 2 default settings and draw some grass on the area as shown here
